Meetings and Programs for 2026-2027
Meetings will start with social time at 6:00 P.M. The meeting will be called to order at 7:00 P.M.
Guild Meeting Cancellation Policy: Guild meetings may be cancelled due to bad weather or lack of facility (i.e., loss of electricity) to ensure the safety of the members and speakers. In such a case, the Guild President will notify the Program Director(s)/Designee to notify the speaker. (If Program Director(s)/Designee cannot be located, the President will notify the speaker.) The President and Board will notify the guild members. All will be notified as soon as the cancellation decision is made. If possible, the Program Director(s) and Board will work with speaker to find a mutually acceptable date to reschedule.
September 8, 2026:
Business meeting only, summer challenge and show and tell.
October 13, 2026:
Business meeting. Program speaker Diana Annis How Do I Quilt This? Using 5 guild members quilt tops Diana will lead us through how to plan the quilting. This is an interactive program with discussions on tools, marking designing. Show and tell.
November 10, 2026:
Business meeting. Guest speaker Beth Sullivan will show us Quilting with Underwear. From the basic T-shirt to ties, sweaters, pajamas, jeans, baby clothes, underwear, baby blankets, and many others, inspiration is provided to use anything in quilts that can be washed, sewn, and made to lie flat. Show and tell.
December 8, 2026:
Holiday Potluck Dinner. Always fun. Details to be provided later. Business meeting and show and tell.
January 12, 2027:
Business meeting. Kathy D. will guide us to help keep our quilts at their best with Repair, Restore & More. Learn ways to fix those inevitable issues that come up with well-loved quilts. Bring in some examples of quilts that need attention and Kathy will review as many as she can. Show and tell.
February 9, 2027:
Business meeting. Quilting Demo Stations will show us EPP (English Paper Piecing), Curves, and Y seams. Show and tell.
March 9, 2027:
Business meeting. Guest speaker Michelle Banton will take us on the journey of a Cotton Boll from the field to your local quilt shop in From Cotton to Consumer. https://www.littlepupdesigns.com/. Show and tell.
April 13, 2027:
Business meeting. Lara Rosenspan is our guest speaker with Places Real and Imagined where she will share her inspiration for each of her landscape quilts, along with the story behind every scene and the methods and techniques used. Show and tell.
May 11, 2027:
Business meeting. Our guest speaker is Vicky H. She will give a Trunk Show of the quilts she has made over time. Show and tell.
June 8, 2027:
End of year pot-luck. Details to follow. Business meeting, show and tell and details of the summer challenge.
