Each year the guild identifies a  project to provide quilted goods to those in need.  The project may tie in with other activities.  The creations are typically gathered at meetings and are then donated.  All guild members are invited to participate and are welcome to make suggestions for the destination of the work.

Outreach 2023-2024

Pillowcases are needed for the non-profit Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Children up to 18 years of age can use them. Children’s pillowcases with summer themes are also needed for Camp Dream Day, serving  severely medically compromised children. Ongoing till June.

Twin size quilts and fleece blankets are also needed for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Middlesex Chapter to provide beds and new bedding to children in need.

Quilts of Valor are still needed. Bring your Quilt of Valor to us and we will make sure it’s quilted and labeled. Reminder – do not use metallic or glitter fabric. Patriotic colors, specific military branches are acceptable. Dimensions: Minimum size – 55” x 65,” maximum size – 72” x 90.”

Lap size quilts, (maximum size 30” × 40”) are also needed for local EMS and police departments. Suggested themes: I-spy, law enforcement, kid themes, baby, and geriatric.
