Quilts for Local Shelters
We are making quilts to warm hearts and bodies for the charitable shelters list below to distribute to men, women and children. Donated coordinating fabric bundles will be available at the June and September. Backings and battings are also available – contact Joanne W. or Jane M. Quilts may be any size from couch throw, twin, lap or baby size. Quilts will be provided to these facilities to distribute to their clients. We hope this warms their hearts and bodies. Please tell Jane or Joanne if you have a preference for the destination of your quilt.
Abby’s House in Worcester Since 1976, women in these circumstances have been coming to Abby’s House for help. When it opened, Abby’s House was one of the first homeless shelters for women in the United States. Since then, we have helped more than 11,500 homeless women and children reclaim and rebuild their lives. At Abby’s, we help women move out of the chaos of homelessness and regain their independence.
