UFO

What is a UFO?

A UFO is an UnFinished Object.  Many of us have fabric cut but not sewn into blocks, quilt blocks not assembled, quilt tops not quilted, and quilts not bound.  The object of this challenge is to choose 6 UFOs and with the support and encouragement of the guild – finish ALL of them.  And even if you don’t finish, you’ll have made progress and had a good time doing it.

To participate, list on the attached form the unfinished projects that you would like to complete. Every two months dice will be rolled, and that number will correspond to a number you have assigned to a project. Example: If the number “four” is rolled in October, you will have to complete the project listed as #4 on your list by the December meeting. In December, if “one” is rolled then you have until the meeting in February to finish the project listed as #1 on your list. You will have 2 months to complete each project.

Everyone’s number six (6) will be due at the October meeting. This is a project of your choice. So, if you have a big project you would like to finish and need a whole year to finish it, then that is the one for your number 6 spot.

The rules are simple: A UFO is any piece of fabric, cut into for the purpose of making a quilt, wall hanging or other object of art that is made of fabric totally or partially quilted and not completed.

Completed means totally quilted, bound, labeled, and ready for use.
